Maurice Carter Obituary

Mr. Glen Maurice Carter, 75, of Wilmington, died Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Wilmington. He was born August 15, 1944, the son of the late Glen and Retha Virginia Surles Carter.

Maurice was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was the owner and operator of a TV Repair Shop for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Jones Carter; son, Jamie Carter; parents; sisters, Irene Milligan and Minnie Stevens; brothers, Bobby Carter and Frank Carter.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Carter of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Olivia Jane Carter and Michael Lee Carter; sister-in-law, Betty Carter of N. Wilkesboro; many nieces and nephews.

Out of respect for our family and friends, due to the unique circumstances of travel restrictions and health concerns, a private service will be held.
