Mavis was always filled with the joy of life. She showed her love for others in so many ways. I remember when we had the benefit dinner for Velt, she was right there to help. She always had a smile on her face. Such a valued member of the community.

Randy and family,
Our prayers are with you during this time of sadness in the Home Going of Mavis. Words may be inadequate, however, God's Word reminds us to "Trust the Lord with all your heart," which you already have experienced. The memories of you two are etched in my mind when I hear your names. Remember "when one family suffers, the whole family suffers." In Jesus Christ, we share your pain. It's been a pleasure knowing you two. We met at Sweet Home Baptist Church, Tabor City, NC, when you led us in worship, and I videoed the service. God bless, Brother.
