Mazie Elizabeth Clewis Canady 27, of Whiteville passed on Sunday, November 20, 2022. She was born January 6, 1995 in Columbus County.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Cruze Canady; a daughter, Camille Canady; a son, Brighton Ward; her parents, Earl Matthew Clewis and Lisa Collier Clewis of Whiteville; two brothers, Kevin Clewis and wife, Brittany of Archdale, NC and David Clewis and wife, Raven of Spring, TX; her maternal grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Baker of Whiteville; her paternal grandmother, Mary Alice Clewis of Nakina; nieces and nephews, Peyton, Avery, Quinn, Penelope, Jaxon, Casen and Guage.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Earl Clewis; her maternal grandfather, Charles Collier and maternal step grandfather, Jim Baker.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Peacock's Chapel by Pastor Randy Hunt. Interment will be in Clewis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home.
