Melvin Boyd Frick of Whiteville passed away Wednesday June 28, 2023. He was born June 24, 1960 in Columbus County, the son of the late Thurman Boyd Frick and Inez Norris Frick.

Mr. Frick retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Frick was a member of the White Marsh Deer Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Frick and Inez Norris Frick, sisters, Sheryl Frick and Sheila Frick Harwood.

He is survived by his wife, Tammie Frick of the home; sons, Travis Frick (Collier) of Council, Adam Best (LouAnn) of Conway SC; daughter, Angela Broach and husband of SC; brother, Thurman Lee Frick of Whiteville; three grandchildren, Meghan, Bronson and Danika; two great grandchildren, Keegan and Britleigh.

The family will receive friends on Sunday July 2, 2023 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Peacock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday July 3, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Columbus Memorial Park with the Reverend Titus Caraway officiating.
