Michael Craig Branch of Clarkton, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He was born to the late Joseph Melvin Branch and Peggy Stubbs McDuffie.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Branch; son, Bubba Smith of Ellerbe; daughters Gina Pierre (Michael) of Wadesboro, Brandi Smith (Bob) of Ellerbe; brother, Wayne Smith (Denise) of Rockingham; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Margaret Soles of Clarkton; step-family, mom, Shirley; brother Rhon, sisters Darise Ecklund and family, Tara Smith and Family; Ethan, his service dog, Jack, his family dog; special friends, Roz Skochinsky, Ellie Hill and family, Christy Cartrette and family, CVMA 15-13 (all chapters), VFW Post 7288 in Calabash NC; special neighbors, Tikeya Steele and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-dad, Chuck Bullard; step-dad, Burley McDuffie; brother, Terry Smith Sr.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00am at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
