Nancy Wood Obituary

Nancy Glynn Wood 77, of Bladenboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, March 29, 2020 at her home. She was born August 2, 1942 in Elizabeth City, NC the daughter of the late Harold and Abia Etheridge Glynn.

Nancy met the love of her life at just five years old. They met on the playground in Kindergarten when she came down the slide and Jack was waiting to sneak a kiss. They were married at the age of 20 and had three daughters. As a military wife she devoted her time to her family and found much joy caring for others. Nancy was a devoted Christian and a member of Coastal Family Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Lee Wood, parents and brother, Bill Glynn.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Minton of Creswell, NC, Lynda Dick and husband, Ed of Pennsylvania, Courtney Thompson and husband, Ronald of Bladenboro; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
