Nelson Ellington Obituary

Mr. Nelson Luther Ellington, 69, of Delco passed away August 7, 2022 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System. He was born in Wake county, the son of Luther Clyde "LC" Ellington and the late Edna Wade Ellington. He was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. Mr. Ellington was a welder by trade and also served in the Army Reserve. Nelson loved to go fishing, watching sports and listening to music.

He is survived by his father, "LC" and wife, Debbie of Riegelwood; a daughter, Jennifer Langston and husband, Jay of Houston, TX; a son, David Ellington and wife, Sara of Houston, TX; brothers, David Ellington and wife, Carol of Wilmington, William "Bull" Ellington of Delco, Michael Ellington and wife, Vickie of Wilmington and Ricky Ellington of Rocky Point; a half-sister, Miranda Stevens and husband, Corey of SC; grandchildren, Madelaine Dry, Katy Langston and Ace Conner; great grandchildren, Shelby Hill and Shailene Mahon; stepbrother, Scott Davis and wife, Roxie of Riegelwood.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Naquin and mother, Edna Wade Ellington.

The family is very appreciative of the sincere care Mr. Ellington received at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
