Norman Lee Watkins

Norman "Bud" Lee Watkins, 77, of Chadbourn passed away  Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He was born March 25, 1942 in Columbus County the son of the late, Vance and Irene Grogan Watkins.

Norman was proud to serve in the US Army. He was the owner and operator of a trucking company for over 50 years.  He loved his job and the open road. Bud never met a stranger and brought a smile to whomever he met.  He loved the Lord and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Lumberton.

He is survived by his devoted  wife of  48 years,  JoAnn; sisters, Betty Stouffer and Mildred Pratt; children, Jean, Michelle, Norm, and Lisa;  grandchildren, Nakaila and seven others.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm  Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor LeDon Barnhill and Pastor Roy Barnhill. Burial will be in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Peacock Funeral Home.
