Mrs. Pearl Watts Freedman 84, of Whiteville passed on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her home.  She was born February 26, 1939 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Horry J. Watts and Ora Godwin Watts.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur "Bill" Freedman.

She is survived by  a son, William Barry Freedman and wife , Lisa of Whiteville; a daughter, Michelle Freedman Luhrs and husband, Michael of Charlotte; a brother, Hershal Watts of Greenville, NC; sisters, Mona Watts Kahl and husband, Jim of Aberdeen, Retha Watts Thompson of Whiteville; grandchildren, Rhett Freedman, Grant Freedman, Bryce Freedman, Ava Luhrs and Ashley Luhrs.  Her funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Western Prong Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wilson officiating.  Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.  

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to her service at the church.
