Ray Lee Harrison, Jr.

CWO3 Ray Lee Harrison, Jr. US Coast Guard (RET), 71 of Lake Waccamaw died Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his home.  He was born December 16, 1947 in Norfolk, VA the son of the late Ray Lee Harrison, Sr. and Mary Owens Harrison.  He served as Chief Engineer in the Merchant Marines after retirement from the US Coast Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Lehman Harrison; three sons, Matthew Harrison and wife, Jennifer of Haymarket, VA, Ashley Harrison and Courtney Gregor of Virginia Beach, VA, John Maynard of Houston, TX; two daughters, Jennifer Green and husband, Corey of Myrtle Beach, SC, Janelle Barbour and husband, Will of Seven Springs, NC; two sisters, Carolyn Hart and husband, Harry of Bolton, Kathy Nicholson and husband, Steve of Bladenboro; grandchildren, Courtney Harrison of Herndon, VA, Alyssa Harrison, Cody Harrison,  Noah Harrison, Parker Harrison all of Virginia Beach VA, Maggie Barber and Lita Barber both of Seven Springs, NC.

A memorial service with military honors will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Sterling Sarvis and Father Joseph Yaeger.  His family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to his service at the funeral home.
