Rev. David Todd Obituary
Rev. John David Todd 87, of Whiteville and more recently Little River, SC. passed on Friday, March 20, 2026 in Barclay Assisted Living, Little River, SC. He was born August 22, 1938 in Columbus County, the son of the late Walter Henry Todd and Rutha Marie Garrell Todd.
Rev. Todd graduated from Fruitland Baptist Bible College in Hendersonville, NC. He also received a masters degree. He served in churches in NC and SC. He ministered in Spring Branch Baptist Church in Nichols, SC, Delco Baptist Church in Delco, Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Whiteville, Forest Lawn Baptist Church in Tabor City and Oakdale Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Little Todd, a son, Anthony David Todd (Jennifer Kay); a daughter, Beverly Todd Lott (Jeff); a brother, Elton Todd (Mary Ellen); a grandson, Jacob Walter Todd; a brother-in-law, Harold William.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Muriel Miller and Mary Ellen Williams and a brother, H. B. Todd; a sister-in-law, Esther Todd.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Swain officiating. Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church prior to his service.
