Rev. Leroy "Nick" Long

Rev. Leroy "Nick" Long, 75, of Crusoe Island, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his home.  He was born December 6, 1944, in Columbus County, the son of the late Thomas Madison Long and Odie Etheridge Long.

He was the Pastor of Camp Branch Church and loved to talk Bible.  Nick would take a trip to the mountains with anyone that would open the car door.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Joe Price and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Ann Coleman Long; son, Randy Leroy Long and wife, Melissa "Renee" of Whiteville; two daughters, Sheila Marie Long and husband, Glenn of Whiteville, Lisa Gail Marshall and husband, John of Wilmington; grandchildren, Jonathan Mark Price, Hannah Marie Norris; great-grandchildren, Arabella "Bella" Jade Norris, Madylynn Marshall, Lilee Jean Price, Valentina Price, Raven Marie Price; brother, Jesse Elder Long and wife, Alice Faye of Whiteville; two sisters, Shirley Marie Smith, Teresa Ann Etheridge and husband, Jeff all of Whiteville.

His funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Irvin Etheridge and Rev. Lonnie Johnson.

Burial will be in the Etheridge Cemetery.
