Mr. Richard McRoy Taylor, Jr. 81, of Whiteville, passed Monday, November 30, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born August 1, 1939 in Richland County, SC the son of the late Richard McRoy Taylor, Sr. and Annie Katherine Spivey Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth D. Taylor and Gaylan Whittie Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Faye Smith Taylor; two sons, Richie Taylor and wife, Angela of Whiteville, Jeffrey Taylor and wife, Angie of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Sherrill Stevens and husband, David of Lake Waccamaw; sister, Deanne Castle and husband, George of Columbia, SC; half-sister, Deborah Ann Barger and husband, Mike of Fairfax, VA; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church.
