Robert "Bob" Dixon Floyd of Whiteville and Holden Beach passed on August 5, 2025. He was born on December 28, 1956 in Whiteville N.C, the son of the late William Frederick Floyd and Mary "Dickie B"  Floyd.

He was a proud graduate of Pfeiffer College, UNC School Of Law and a devoted Tarheel to the end. Bob was a dedicated member of the Brunswick County Bar for over 25 years who proudly provided legal services to the Southeastern N.C. community. He was a proud member of every choir that would have him and the biggest fan of any sport his family played. He always wanted to make people laugh and played practical jokes and loved the ocean and sailing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Cos Gerald and Al Lassiter.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Gerrald Floyd of Shallotte, N.C, a son, Robert Dixon Floyd, Jr. of Greensboro N.C.; daughters, Alexandra Floyd Hawes and husband Brandon of Shallotte N.C., Charlotte Rebecca Floyd of Greensboro N.C.; grandson Gabriel Finnick Hawes; sister, Mary Fran Lassiter of Wilmington N.C.; brothers, Joe Floyd and wife Dianne of Cherry Grove S.C., Bill Floyd and wife Sandi of Whiteville N.C., brothers-in-law, Art Gerrald and wife Polly of Jamestown K.Y., Mat Gerrald of Calabash N.C.; sister-in-law, Pam Young and husband Rob of Raleigh N.C. and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
