Ruby Hines Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Hines of Whiteville passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 peacefully at her home. She was born July 28, 1939 to the late Richard Etheridge and Izzie Mae Long Etheridge.


She was a cornerstone member of Peace Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher and  VBS Director. 


She is survived by her Daughter, Gail Peterson (Jeff) of Whiteville NC; Her Granddaughter, Heather Batts (Chris) of Wilmington NC; three Great-Grandchildren, Stephanie Batts, Layla Faith Batts and Asher Batts.


She was preceded in death by her husband George "G.F." Hines; Her Parents; Brother, Danny Etheridge; Sister, Annie Tysinger.


The family will have a private service at a later time.
