Mrs. Ruby Williamson Thompson 102, of Hallsboro formerly of  the Sellerstown community  passed on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Liberty Commons.  She was born August 2, 1920 in Columbus County the daughter of  the late Charlie P. Williamson and Flora Bernice Duncan Williamson. She was the widow of Herman Thompson.  Ruby was employed with Moskow's Department Store for 63 years.

She is survived by two brothers, Carl Williamson of Ft. Mill, SC and Robert Williamson of Hallsboro; a sister, Lila Faye Williamson Hinson of Leland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six brothers, Bruce Williamson, Alton Williamson, Merlin Williamson, Eldred Williamson, Crowell Williamson and Garland Williamson.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Coffey officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to her service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
