Samuel Grant Williams

Samuel Grant Williams, precious son of Matt and Hannah Hawes Williams of Nakina entered the arms of Jesus on December 27, 2021 in NC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.  He was born September 13, 2021 in Columbus County.  

This beautiful little child of God has touched the lives of so many.  Our hearts are full because God has a special purpose for Samuel Grant.  People we know and those we don't have been encouraged by him, inspired and changed.  What a joy it is to know that God has used Samuel in such a marvelous way.  God is good, He is just, He is faithful;  He is still God and we love Him for who He is and the time He gave little Samuel to us.

Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Alex and Becky Hawes of Nakina; paternal grandparents, Devon and Anne Williams of Chadbourn; maternal great grandmother, Sara Hawes of Nakina; paternal great grandparents, Ronnie and Doris Williams of Chadbourn; aunts, Leah Hawes and Adrianna Hinson; uncle, Wesley Williams.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Kenneth D. Hawes and Maternal Great Grandparents, Floyd & Jane Powell.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Nakina Baptist Church by Rev. Aaron Jeffords and Rev. Darryll Hester.  Burial will be at the Hawes Family Cemetery.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to his service at Nakina Baptist Church.
