Sandra Ezzell Hayes 63, of Whiteville passed on Saturday January 6, 2024.  She was born February 26, 1960  in Columbus County the daughter of the late Maxie L. Ezzell and Janice Inman Ezzell. 

She was employed with Corning Inc. in Wilmington as a fiber optic technician.

She is survived by two sons, Waylon Hayes (Dawn) of Whiteville and Jessie Hayes (Alexis) of Whiteville; a granddaughter, Kinsley Hayes;  a brother, Edwin Ezzell (Vicki) of Whiteville; a sister , Nancy Bennett of Whiteville.

Her funeral service will be  at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Palmyra Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Faulk and Rev. John Roberson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 pm Thursday at the church prior to her service.
