Shirley Ruth Canady of Calabash passed on Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was born in Horry County, S.C. on May 8, 1943.
She is survived by daughters, Sue Canady (Bennie Smith) of Ash, Renee Etheridge (David) of Whiteville; brother, Dennis Watts of Conway; grandchildren, Charles Etheridge, Margaret Etheridge, Dewayne Etheridge, Aaron Smith; great grandchildren, Kaylee Etheridge, Jaiden Etheridge, Harley Price, Eli Etheridge; great grandchild, Krissalyn McDaniel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Canady; Parents; brothers, Fred, Eugene, and George; sister, Louise Etheridge.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Bennett Cemetery with Ervin Etheridge officiating.
