Stanley Joseph Kmiecik

Mr. Stanley Joseph Kmiecik, 97, of Whiteville passed away on November 23, 2022. He was born in Cook County, Illinois the son of the late Joseph and Mary Kisiel Kmiecik. He was a loving husband of the late Lorraine Wincek Kmiecik.

He is survived by a daughter, Diane Plant and husband, Rich; and a son, Larry Kmiecik and wife, Nancy.

Dad accepted God's invitation to heaven with Mom and her brother, Ron there to welcome him.

He left his body when God asked for his soul. I think he wanted to see her sooner, but he was afraid. She finally called him and told him God loved him and his work on earth was done.

We tried our best to make his last 8 years on earth happy. Our puppies Allie, Simba, Blaze and Brandy were his best friends as he didn't need to hear to communicate with them. They spoke the same language and they made him very happy always. Until his last year, he lived a good life with us, helping us with outdoor watering, walking the dogs and washing dishes.

After 97 years his body deprived him of his independence and although he was living in a nursing home he was kind to all the staff and thanked them for everything they did for him. His acceptance of the situation was so very admirable. He was a wonderful man and father and on this Day of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the end of his suffering.

There will be no service and his remains will be cremated. Thank you all for the prayers that we have received. I love you all.
