Timothy Michael Flaherty

Timothy Michael Flaherty, 59, of Whiteville, passed on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born in Washington, DC, the son of Jill McDonald Flaherty and the late Michael Flaherty.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Vickie Veit Flaherty; his mother, Jill McDonald Kimmel; five sons, Sean K. Flaherty of MD, Philip Welsh of MD, Bradley Nehls of MI, Rian Flaherty of Whiteville and William Flaherty of Whiteville; four daughters, Samantha Daniel of MD, Dana Jill Flaherty of NC, Bethany Alderton of Whiteville and Shannon Burton of Whiteville; a sister, Carolyn Fogle (James) of MD; four brothers, Chris Flaherty of MD, Terry Flaherty (Cherry) of MD, Matthew Flaherty of Tabor City and Thomas John Flaherty(Hillary) of FL; and thirteen grandchildren.

Mr. Flaherty was a God fearing husband, father, brother and son. He enjoyed writing poetry and novels. He was a master griller and always the life of the room. He loved saltwater fishing. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He loved jazz music. Mr. Flaherty was very involved in his church communities.

His memorial service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, November 8. 2023 at Whiteville Assembly of God by Pastor Randy Hunt.
