Mr. Timothy Young Spivey, aged 62, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at Regency Subacute Hospital in Florence, SC. He was born in Columbus County and was the beloved son of the late Mr. Dozier M. Spivey and Edna Mae Soles-Spivey. Timothy is survived by his two half-sisters, Olivia Lela Ruiz and Sheryl Ann Spivey of Fairmont, NC and four brothers and two sisters from Dozier and Edna's marriage: Jesse Soles of Pinehurst, NC, Acenia Spivey of Incline Village, NV, Roland Spivey of Whiteville, NC, Gary Spivey of Whittier, NC, Jerry Spivey of Portland, OR, and Selena Spivey-McPherson of Whiteville, NC.

Timothy's legacy continues through his three sons, Lamont, Jason, and Derek Spivey, all residing in Florence, SC. His nine grandchildren, Mikalea, Jeremy, Mason, Logan, Nicholas, Matthew, Autumn, Kamden, and Aliegh Spivey, were the source of immense joy and pride in his life.

There is a saying, "Grandparents are like stars. You don’t always see them, but you know they’re there." This sentiment perfectly captures Timothy's role as a doting grandfather.

A memorial service was held on July 8th, 2023, to honor and celebrate Timothy's life. The family is grateful for the condolences and support received during this difficult time.
