Tom Greene

Mr. Tom Greene, 80, of Hamlet formerly of Whiteville, passed Friday, August 21, 2020 at Richmond Pines Healthcare.  He was born May 8, 1940, in Vance County, the son of the late Ira Linchfield Green and Martha Elizabeth Davis Green.

Tom retired from International Paper as a Welder.  He attended Peace Baptist Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Bonnie Pinyatella Greene; daughter, Tammy Greene, parents, Ira Linchfield Green and Martha Elizabeth Davis Green; sister, Peggy Cole.

He is survived by two sons, Tommy Greene and wife, Wendy of Chalfont, PA and Daryl Greene of Whiteville; grandchildren, Hallie Spaulding, Max Greene, Seth Greene; 3 great grandchildren, Chaton Moore, Takoda Freeman, Meelah Freeman; brothers, David Greene and wife, Kelly of Whiteville, Richard Greene and wife, Zelda of Cerro Gordo.

His graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 28, 2020 at Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.
