Virginia Carol (Williamson) Jones Obituary
Virginia Carol Williamson Jones 81, passed on Tuesday October 3, 2023 in Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Angel House. She was born February 1, 1942 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Thomas Jenkins Williamson and Maggie Belle Gore Williamson.
She retired after 20 years from Whiteville Primary School Cafeteria. She attended the Morganton School for the deaf.
She is survived by a son, Jeffery Jones of Whiteville; a daughter, Yvette Rawls and husband, Darryl of Whiteville; a sister, Barbara Moore of Whiteville; grandchildren, Dustin Rawls and Hunter Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geraldine Blake and a granddaughter, Crystal Williamson.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, October 6, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Wilson officiating.
Her family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 pm Friday at Peacock Funeral Home prior to her service in the chapel.
