Vivian Carol Carlisle High, 89, of Mt. Jackson, Virginia, went to be with her Saviour at home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. She was born December 27, 1936 in Brunswick County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of Bennie Ray Carlisle and Vita Columbia Britt Carlisle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Luther High; one sister, Sally Ann Ward; four sons, Ricky High, Danny Small, Barry Small and Mitchell Small; and step-son, Donnie High.

Vivian was a cook at Jerry’s Sandwich Shop for many years. She love to read and crochet, especially baby blankets. Vivian is survived by her daughter, Vickie C. Showman (John), step-son, Ronnie High (Beckie), step-daughter, Lynne McLamb (Scott), and daughter-in-law, Belita High, as well as 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Peacock Funeral Home in Whiteville, NC on Friday, June 12, 2026. Visitation will be at noon, with the Memorial Service following at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
