Wendy Beking Barefoot 59, of Shallotte passed on November 20, 2021 in McLeod Seacoast in Little River SC. She was born November 6, 1962 in Portland ME, the daughter of Betty Ward Beking of Nakina and the late Rev. William Beking.
She is survived by a daughter, Georganna Barefoot of Shallotte, a son, Chevy Barefoot and his fiance Rebecca Albiniak of Myrtle Beach, SC; her mother, Betty Ward Beking of Nakina; a grandson, Gavin Barefoot; her fiance and life partner, Freddie Hunt; a brother, William Beking of Tabor City; three sisters, Denise Clewis (Joe) of Ash, Faith Beking of Nakina, Roxanne Coleman (Cameron) of Cerro Gordo; nieces and nephews, Destiny Walters, Ashley Chavis, Jaylyn Beking, Matthew Coleman, Josh Coleman, Michael Coleman and Jonathan Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. William Beking and a sister, Terri Beking.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Denise Clewis officiating.
