Mr. William James "Duck" Long 77, of Bolton passed on Friday, January 1, 2021 at his home. He was born December 22, 1943 in Columbus County, the son of the late Harvey A. Long and Rosa Alford Long.
He retired from the Woods Division of International Paper and was formerly a brick mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Carroll Long; his parents; a sister, Virginia Long Hall, a sister-in-law, Louise Hyatt; a brother-in-law, Joseph Hyatt.
He is survived by two nieces, Audrey Harrell of Wilmington and Linda Ellis and husband, Ray of Bolton; three nephews, Michael Harrell and wife, Shirley of Wilmington and Michael Carroll of Bolton and Stuart Carroll and wife, Judy of Lake Waccamaw; a cousin, Billy Long; two brothers-in-law Leroy Carroll and wife, JoAnn of Bolton, Frank Carroll and wife, Barbara of Lake Waccamaw.
His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 5, 2021 graveside at Shiloh United Methodist Church cemetery.
Masks are required and social distancing recommended.
