Willie Julius Bordeaux, Jr.

Mr. Willie Julius Bordeaux, Jr., 63, of Whiteville, passed Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at his home.  He was born March 31, 1957, in Bladen County, the son of Willie Julius Bordeaux, Sr. and the late, Margaret Maultsby Bordeaux.

He attended New Hope Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  One of his many joys was spending time on his parents farm.  Willie traveled many years working on the road providing for his family.  This past year he was able to be home more where he spent valuable time with his grandchildren.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his family was his greatest joy.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce Sellers Bordeaux; daughter, Tracey Bordeaux Thomas and husband, Brian of Wilmington; brother, Joey Bordeaux and Amy of Leland; three grandchildren, Cruz Thomas, Hudson Thomas, Kyler Thomas; father, Willie Julius Bordeaux, Sr. of Leland; nephew, Hunter Bordeaux and wife, Jaimie of Leland; two great nephews, Chase Bordeaux and Drake Bordeaux.

His memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrin Moore and speaker, Tim Tyner.
