Betty Edge Sealey

Betty Edge Sealey 76, of Whiteville died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home.  She was born October 22, 1940 in Columbus County, the daughher of the late Daniel K. Edge and Mattie Ward Edge.  She was the widow of Coy Sealey.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  She was formerly employed with Johnson Tractor Company for many years.

She is survived by four sisters, Hilda Edge Dores of Whiteville, Yvonne Edge Weeks of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nancy Edge Forrest of Holden Beach and Sandra Edge Mihal of Wilmington; grandchildren, Ashley Barnes and Stacey Tedder of Whiteville; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Tony Tedder; brother, Gene Edge; and sister, Marietta McDonald.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, February 16, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Darrin Moore.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:30 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
