Mr. Jamey Carter 45, of Whiteville died Thursday, February 16, 2017.  He was born in Columbus County the son of Glen Maurice Carter of Wilmington and the late Ollie Jane Jones Carter.

He owned and operated J.C Home Improvement.

He is survived by  sisters,  Samantha Nicole Ferrari of Whiteville  and Amy Carter Wilson of Brunswick; his father, Glen Maurice Carter of Wilmington; aunts, Eva Edmunds and Myrtle Jones of Whiteville; niece, Olivia Wilson; nephews, Hunter and Michael Wilson.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hosea Simmons Cemetery. His family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 pm Friday, February 24, 2017 at Peacock Funeral Home.
