Martha Moore Jones

Martha Moore Jones, 78, of Riegelwood died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Lower Caper Fear Hospice in Whiteville. She was born January 1, 1938 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Millard and Lanie Mitchell Moore. She was the wife of Paul Jones, Sr.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Glenn Moore and Anthony Moore both of New Jersey; daughters, Fawn Brown and Martha Ann Peterson both of New Jersey; stepsons, Paul Jones, Jr. of Chicago, IL., William Jones of Monroe, NC; stepdaughters, Sharon Jones of New Jersey, Kathy Jones of Raleigh, NC; brother, John Henry Moore of Plainfield, NJ; sisters, Mary White and Beatrice Jones both of Delaware, Rachel Lennon of Maryland; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Marie Love and stepdaughter, Jocelyn Jones.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. James Baptist Church, Lake Waccamaw, NC by the Reverend Curt Locklear and Reverend Mike Jacobs. Burial will be in St. James Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Peacock Funeral Home, Whiteville, NC.
