Mary Freeman Lowry

Mary Freeman Lowry, 82, of Boardman, NC departed this life Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Whiteville. She was born in Bladen County September 4, 1934, the daughter of the late Robert Lloyd Freeman and Martilla Baldwin Freeman.

She is survived by her husband, Willie French Lowry. She was a devoted wife for 64 years. Other survivors include two sons, William M. Lowry and finance, Ann Jacobs and French A. Lowry; two daughters, Bonnie L. Griffith and Sandra F. Hernandez; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Lowry; daughter, Janice Lowry Holland; sister, Margret Ann Freeman; brothers, Percell Freeman and Marvin Lloyd Freeman.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church by the Rev. Mike Jacobs and Rev. Randy Ward. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 pm Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Peacock Funeral Home.
