Reba Larrimore Williamson

Reba Olivia Larrimore Williamson, 91, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Kirby Pines Retirement Community in Memphis, TN. She was born in Marion, South Carolina, but was raised in North Carolina where she was married to the late Davis E. Williamson for 69 years. She was the daughter of the late M.L. Larrimore and Liller Tyler Larrimore. She operated a children's day care center for over 30 years in Whiteville and Fayetteville, NC. She and Davis loved to travel and had even driven from NC to Alaska and back after their retirement. They also drove to Mexico once and Canada twice.

Survivors include her children, Douglas W. Williamson (born on Davis' birthday) and his wife Patty; Larry D. Williamson of Burlison, TN; and Carolyn D. Hughes and her husband Michael of Marion, Arkansas. She leaves 10 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister and 3 brothers in addition to many nieces and nephews. Officiating at the funeral service will be Philip Norwood, minister of the Whiteville Church of Christ where she was a member for several decades.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Peacock Funeral Home.
