Mrs. Shirley Sarvis Smith, 71 of Nakina died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at her home.  She was born May 26, 1945 the daughter of the late Devine and Lettie Ward Sarvis.  

She is survived by her husband, W. C. Smith; three daughters, Betty Rowell of Mullins, SC, Patricia Blackwell of Whiteville, Tabitha Gore of Tabor City; grandchildren, Kenny Batten, Jr., Kilbey Batten, Jacey Batten, Coy Blackwell, Wesley Blackwell, Micheal Butler, Courtney Faulk, Casey Smith, Stacey Smith; great-grandchildren, Gab Mishoe, Addie Batten, Alex James, Andru James; a sister, Edna Cartrette of Gastonia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, E. C. Sarvis, J. D. Sarvis, James Sarvis; sisters, Dora Mae Beane and Margaret Kono.

Her funeral will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Peacock's Chapel by the Rev. Richard Collins.

Her family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 pm Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Peacock Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Columbus Memorial Park.
