Mrs. Doris Ann Tatum 82, of Whiteville formerly of Elizabethtown died Tuesday, July 16, 2013.  She was born in Columbus County the daughter of the late Jesse Coleman and Ellen Smith Coleman.  She was the widow of the late Mack J. Sibbett and Willie D. Tatum.  She was formerly a dietary aid at the Elizabethtown Nursing Center.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Sibbett of Fountain, Kenny Sibbett and fiancé, Terri Porter of Whiteville; two daughters, Frances Hardin and husband, Joe of Evergreen, Cindy Dudney and husband, David of Chadbourn; a brother, Billy Coleman and wife, Earline of Evergreen; two sisters, Evelyn Sasser of Clinton, Diane Batts and husband, Donnie of Clinton; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son,  Jimmy Sibbett; three sisters, Sara Powell, Louise Thompson, Jessie Mae Dwyer.

Her funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, July 19, 2013 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ellen Bullard.  Burial will be in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30  pm Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Peacock Funeral Home.
