Lloyd Paul Canady, 74, of Whiteville, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center of Whiteville. He was born October 26, 1941, the son of the late Gola and Linnie Watts Canady.

He was retired from International Paper Company. He was a member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church and was church pianist. 

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Long Spivey Canady; son, Roger Canady and wife, Suzanne of Whiteville; daughters, Patricia Hinson and husband, Mike of Creswell, Glenda Nobles and husband, Rev. Steve Nobles of Green Sea, SC, Regina Grubbs and husband, Gary of Whiteville; sister, Alpha Mae Sellers and husband, Lewis of Lake Waccamaw; sister-in-law, Dianne Canady of Whiteville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ernest Canady.

His family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2016 at Peacock Funeral Home.

His funeral will be at 3:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2016 at Peacock's Chapel by the Rev. Paul Lambert and Dr. Tommy Bryson. Burial will be in Columbus Memorial Park.
