Michael Wayne (Mikey) Hinson

Michael Wayne (Mikey) Hinson, 65, of Whiteville died Thursday, August 11, 2016. He was born March 24, 1951, the son of the late T.S. and Thelma Dudley Hinson.

He was formerly employed as a construction worker with several commercial construction companies.

He is survived by a brother, Shelby Hinson and wife, Glenda of Whiteville; sister, Beverly Barden of Wilmington; nephews, Scott Hinson and Michael Barden; niece, Christie Nye; great-nieces and nephews, Charlotte Nye, Hailee Nye, Colin Hinson, Lyla Barden, Jude Barden, and Milo Barden.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Peacock's Chapel by Dr. Darren Moore. The family will be accepting visitors at 1:00 pm at Peacock's Funeral Home.
