Rita was a big part of my childhood. I spent many days and nights there. I remember running all over that shop as a small kid. I have thought back to those times alot . Rita will never be forgotten by me. Love and miss you Rita.

Cousins, my heart is with you at this time. Though we have not been in contact, you are part of my DNA and memories. Aunt Rita was a sweetheart, a lovely lady who was fourteen years my senior and I have special memories from my childhood. I know she is home with our Lord and our family who precedes us. I am sorry I can not be with you tomorrow in person. God bless and keep you all in love.

I remember Aunt Reta when I was very young say 4 or 5. I would be playing alone at my grandmothers Maxine Hinson and Reta would bring her daughter Angie over to play. Aunt Reta was always very kind to me.
God Bless you Aunt Reta

Our deepest sympathies on the passing of Mrs. Hinson. I have fond memories of growing up across the by-pass and spending time at the Hinson's home with Freddy, Frieda, Linda, and Angie. Rita was a dear lady and will be missed greatly. May the Lord comfort and strengthen you during this time.

Aunt Rita was such a talented lady. She played the piano so beautifully. She could read music, but she also had that special gift so few have, that she could play by ear. I will never forget singing in the children's choir on Sundays at Calvary Baptist Church. We would sing our hearts out, just to please her. I remember coming to her house to bake cup cakes with GAs, but she was a great artist when it came to making wedding cakes. She had great flair. As a little girl I always admired how perfect she looked in church each Sunday, beautifully dressed and coifed. Her beautiful smiles and greetings made me feel so good. She always had a smile for everybody. Her love for her family and community was boundless. She had a nose for clothes, and if there was a beautiful frock at Belks at a great price, she would find it! I think Aunt Rita is the last of the Hinson clan of her generation. Those family reunions were really something. Lots of kin. Everytime I bake red velvet cakes I think of Aunt Rita. Whether it was homecoming at church or Grandma's birthday at Aunt Dorothy 's, we all vied for a piece of her red velvet cake. I will always remember Aunt Rita, she was a very good egg. I regret that I won't be able to be there for the funeral, but I will be thinking of you all.

Ms. Rita was a very special person. She had many talents, my favorite talent was her cakes. She made many birthdays very special for me. I will always remember her playing the piano and organ at church. She will be greatly missed.
With deepest sympathy,
Patrick

We're so sorry to hear about your mother, Mrs Rita, she was a wonderful sweet person. We loved to hear her play the piano and organ at church. Mrs. Rita would play the organ occasionally and come say that was for you, Carol. I know she will be missed dearly by family and friends. Love, The Blackwell's
